The 10km stretch of Nah Daan beach runs along the coast of Khanom and it's difficult to say exactly what it is like as the level of development and surroundings vary along its length. That said, it is not highly developed right now, and though there are plans for new resorts and some building work is ongoing at places along Nah Daan Beach Road, there are only maybe 10 established resorts in all.

The sand is very light in places, but a little coarse in others. In some places there are trees along the beachline, and in others it's a bit more open with not so much shade, which means it gets a lot of sun especially in the mornings with it facing east.

And so it's very quiet. If every resort here was full to the brim and all of the holidaymakers sat on the beach at the same time, it would still seem pretty empty. Which might not suit everyone, especially those who like a crowd to party with, and Nai Plao Beach a few kilometers down the road might be more to their tastes. That said, Nah Daan Beach now has its first proper beach bar and so things will move in that direction in due course.
