This hotel sets itself apart from the other concrete hotels in Nakhon Town by having two small blocks of rooms surrounded by quite mature gardens, with trees and covered walkways. The rooms are also brick-clad rather than being painted concrete, and though the furnishings are a little spartan, they have a natural feel which makes the rooms feel quite cosy. The beds are marvellous if you like your mattresses on the firm side, and though the showers are more basic than at the expensive hotels, you do get hot water and the whole place is clean and very pleasant.
There is a small restaurant off to one side, with indoor seating in an aircon lounge, and a few seats outside too. Breakfasts are served until 10:00am, with a choice of three at about 80 baht each, then there are appetisers around 60 baht, one-dish and other simple Thai food around 80 baht with bigger specials up to 100 baht. There's plenty of choice and a few other restaurants within walking distance too.
At the time of the review there is a bit of building working going on in the next plot along. It's difficult to know how loud this gets or how early it starts, but it's worth being aware of. But the main things are that it doesn't feel like a standard hotel room, it's cheap enough, and simple without being meagre. Highly recommended.
