This restaurant usually comes recommended by the guide books, and deservedly so, especially for the local speciality of khanom jeen - rice noodles served with a variety of curries, pickles, herbs and vegetables. This sells for a good price here as a set meal for two costs 180 baht, and a large meal for five or more people costs just 250 baht. Curries on rice are available for only 25 baht from a 'point and choose' display cabinet, and other specials are sometimes available such as khao yam, being another recommended local dish of fried rice mixed with lemongrass, pomelo and herbs.
There's a small shop to the rear of the restaurant which sells local handicrafts and sweets, and the restaurant itself is interestingly decorated with old farming tools, cooking utensils, and a wide variety of unusually shaped coconut grinders.
