Located pretty much on its own on one of the many decent beaches around Tha Sala, this restaurant serves good Thai food and fresh seafood to the bamboo platforms and the covered bamboo salas on the beach. It is quite popular, and being family run the service can get a bit slow if it's over busy, but that's usually only the case on holidays. The food is pretty good, with the bplah saam rot (three taste fish) going well with some of the Isaan food on offer, but there is only a Thai menu available. It's best to settle down here for an easy meal under the shade of the big trees, or you could get a bit of sunbathing in on Haad Por Beach, though it's not perfect and does get a bit of rubbish washed up at times. And it's very much an area for locals, so if you strip down to your skimpies, you might get a few strange looks.

There are three simple wooden bungalows for rent with the price recently going down to 300 baht a night from 500 which makes them much more reasonable. Two are just okay, and set back a little from the beach, but one is the perfect place to be if you want to be on your own. Once the restaurant is closed, it's just you, the sea, and the stars. There's not many places like this around.
