A big, easily accessible waterfall in a free-entry National Park
Khao Nan National Park is signposted off the main highway about 15km north of Tha Sala, or 25km south of Sichon, and is located at the end of an easy 15km road. Access to this National Park is now free for foreigners, and with this waterfall only being 200 metres from the car park, it's a less demanding place to get to compared with the long treks required to see some of the other waterfalls in the area. Also it's not the best warterfall in the area, with that title probably going to Krung Ching Waterfall, and because it's easy to get to, lots of people come here so it's not got the isolated feel. But the short mostly paved walk is pleasant, everywhere is clean and well maintained, there's a pool under the falls for swimming and big rocks for sitting on and relaxing or picnicing. Very nice.
